What is The Taste?

Become interwoven in the return of one of the Festival’s  fiercest competitions between the best local chefs, caterers and restaurants. Come be amazed as each chef creatively prepares his or her most prized and desired dish while mixing both culture and cuisine. Bringing the #1 Netflix “High On The Hog” experience to Florida.

 

With over 20 chefs and recipes,  your senses will embark upon savory and sweet dishes influenced by infusions from various countries, states, cities, burrows, farms and kitchens flowing from inspirations of ancestors, parents and passions. The variety of food stretches from the motherland and extends into every continent African Americans have impacted. During this eloquent signature event, you will get to play a role in choosing the winners of awards such as  Best Dish, Top Chef, Best Presentation and much more. In addition, you will enjoy an open bar, and live entertainment.

 

The FBX Taste of Excellence is our philanthropic affair stemming from our Education Column. Through partnerships with community partners, over $20,000 in scholarships and funding for academic enrichment and after school programs has been raised over the past few years.
